I've learned

I 've learned that you cannot make someone love you.
All you can do is be someone who can be loved.
The rest is up to them.
I 've learned that no matter how much I care,
some people just don't care back.
I 've learned that it takes years to build up trust,
and only seconds to destroy it.
I 've learned that it 's not what you have in your life
but who you have in your life that counts.

I 've learned that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes.
After that, you'd better know something.
I 've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to the best others
can do but to the best you can do.
I 've learned that it's not what happens to people that 's
important. It 's what they do about it.
I 've learned that you can do something in an instant
that will give you heartache for life.

I 've learned that no matter how thin you slice it,
  there are always two sides.
I 've learned that it 's taking me a long time to become the
  person I want to be.
I 've learned that it 's a lot easier to react than it is to think.
I 've learned that you should always leave loved ones with loving
words. It may be the last time you see them.

I 've learned that you can keep going long after
  you think you can't.
I 've learned that we are responsible for what we do,
  no matter how we feel.
I 've learned that either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I 've learned that regardless of how hot and steamy
a relationship is at first, the passion fades and
there had better be something else to take its place.

I 've learned that heroes are the people who do what
has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
I 've learned that learning to forgive takes practice.
I 've learned that there are people who love you dearly,
but just don't know how to show it.
I 've learned that money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I 've learned that my best friend and I can do anything
or nothing and have the best time.
I 've learned that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when
you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.
I 've learned that sometimes when I 'm angry I have the
right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
I 've learned that true friendship continues to grow,
even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.

I 've learned that just because someone doesn't love you the
way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you
  with all they have.
I''ve learned that maturity has more to do with what types
of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them
and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.
I 've learned that you should never tell a child their
dreams are unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more
humiliating and what a tragedy it would be if they believed it.
I 've learned that your family won't always be there for you.
It may seem funny, but people you aren't related to can
take care of you and love you and teach you to trust people again.
  Families aren't biological.

I 've learned that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to
hurt you every once in a while.
I 've learned that we don't have to change friends if we
  understand that friends change.
I 've learned that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret.
It could change your life forever.
I 've learned that two people can look at the exact same thing
  and see something totally different.

I 've learned that no matter how you try to protect
your children, they will eventually get hurt and you
  will hurt in the process.
I 've learned that there are many ways of falling
  and staying in love.
I 've learned that no matter the consequences, those who are
honest with themselves get farther in life.
I 've learned that no matter how many friends you have
if you are their pillar you will feel lonely and lost
at the times you need them most.

I 've learned that your life can be changed in a matter of
hours by people who don't even know you.
I 've learned that even when you think you have no more to give,
when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.
I 've learned that writing as well as talking can
  ease emotional pain.
I 've learned that the paradigm we live in is not all that
  is offered to us.

I 've learned that credentials on the wall do not make you
  a decent human being.
I 've learned that the people you care most about in life are
  taken from you too soon.
I 've learned that although the word "love" can have many
different meanings, it loses value when overly used.
I 've learned that it 's hard to determine where
to draw the line between being nice and
not hurting people's feelings and standing up for
  what you believe.

All The Earth Will Sing Your Praise

You took, you take our sins away oh god
You give and gave your life away for us
You came down, you saved us thru the cross
Our hearts are changed because of your great love

You lived, you died, you said in three days you would rise
You did, you're alive
You rule, you reign, you said you're coming back again
I know you will and all the earth will sing your praises

No one, no name can rise above you lord
One hope, one life will shine forever more
Your kingdom in heaven and on earth
Your children stand to sing of your great worth

Prime Minister reading Acts 2:42-47

Acts 2:42-47 (NIV)

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

This morning Stephen Harper, the PM of Canada, came to EACO attending a service of dedication for our new sanctuary. In Harper's profile on Wikipedia, he is identified as a member of CMA (Christian and Missionary Alliance). I noticed that he even brought his own Bible.

Today is a special day, NOT because Harper was with us in the new sanctuary, but by the grace of God, by the salvation of the Lord, Jesus Christ, we worship him together, we all bow before Him.

Dr. Franklin Pyles gave a good sermon on "The Church Together". In God's eye, Dr. Pyles and Mr. Harper, actually even you and me, are serving the same purpose, His eternal kingdom.

May God Bless All!

More Beautiful You

More Beautiful You - Jonny Diaz

Little girl fourteen flipping through a magazine
Says she wants to look that way
But her hair isn’t straight her body isn’t fake
And she’s always felt overweight

Well little girl fourteen I wish that you could see
That beauty is within your heart
And you were made with such care your skin your body and your hair
Are perfect just the way they are

There could never be a more beautiful you
Don’t buy the lies disguises and hoops they make you jump through
You were made to fill a purpose that only you could do
So there could never be a more beautiful you

Little girl twenty-one the things that you’ve already done
Anything to get ahead
And you say you’ve got a man but he’s got another plan
Only wants what you will do instead

Well little girl twenty-one you never thought that this would come
You starve yourself to play the part
But I can promise you there’s a man whose love is true
And he’ll treat you like the jewel you are

There could never be a more beautiful you
Don’t buy the lies disguises and hoops they make you jump through
You were made to fill a purpose that only you could do
So there could never be a more beautiful you

So turn around you’re not too far
To back away be who you are
To change your path go another way
It’s not too late you can be saved
If you feel depressed with past regrets
The shameful nights hope to forget
Can disappear they can all be washed away
By the one who’s strong can right your wrongs
Can rid your fears dry all your tears
And change the way you look at this big world
He will take your dark distorted view
And with His light He will show you truth
And again you’ll see through the eyes of a little girl

誰人受痛苦被懸掛在木頭?至高的愛盡見於刺穿的手;
看!血在流反映愛沒保留,持續不死的愛到萬世不休!
惟求奉上生命全歸主所有,要將一切盡獻於我主的手;
我已決定今生再沒所求,惟望得主稱讚已足夠!

[ Unreserved Love ]
I've always been told love won't endure.
Nowhere can one find love long and true.
The world just thinks love comes and passes through.
"Don't make promise" is the rule...

But I still believe love can last long.
Your unfailing love has made me strong.
You are the one I can depend upon.
Come what may, you'll love me all along!

Who died on the cross and took away my curse?
Great is your love, I don't think I should deserve.
Your bleeding hands proved your love unreserved.
You're my only joy and treasure on the earth...

Giving everything to you is all I pray.
Use my life to serve you truly every day.
I'll hold your hands and give you all my praise.
Let the whole world know your love and grace!
